Linking Campus to Community

Fulbright Visiting Scholars from around the world gathered for four days in Washington, DC  to discuss the topic of civic engagement and specifically the roles colleges and universities play in assisting the communities where they are located  with social justice and development issues through activities such as service learning, volunteerism and community service. CIES staff accompanied grantees to various events and activities, including tours of the nation’s capital, visits to area NGO’s (non-governmental organizations) and higher education institutions.  Please enjoy the photos below and peruse the presentations listed for more information.
