Fulbright Scholar Program in Uzbekistan Resumed

After almost five years of hiatus, Fulbright U.S. Scholar Program in Uzbekistan has been reestablished this year. Applications are accepted for lecturing or combined lecturing/research awards from those holding a Ph.D. or other terminal degree, or from holders of master’s degrees with substantial teaching or professional experience. Although Russian language skill is helpful, it is not required for those applying for lecturing awards in All Disciplines or TEFL.  Priority fields are TEFL and technical fields such as IT, engineering, and agriculture.

Situated in the center of Central Asia, Uzbekistan plays a critical role in the region, and its importance to the U.S. will only increase.  Be one of the first to experience this country that Americans have rarely experienced before. You’ll gain much by sharing your knowledge with your students, colleagues and community members; and in turn, you’ll bring back the personal and professional experiences to the U.S. to be shared with your colleagues and students.

Fulbright Scholar awards are also available in the other Central Asian countries of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, Tajikistan, and Turkmenistan.
