NEW - US Scholar awards resumed in Saudi Arabia for 2009-10
The Fulbright Program has resumed offering awards to American scholars and professionals to undertake research or teaching in Saudi Arabia, after a hiatus of five years. We invite Americans to participate in the growth and development of a dynamic higher education sector.
Awards are available in several priority fields to support new and exisiting university programs in universities across the country. The increasing investment in higher education in Saudi Arabia in recent years has led to higher numbers of students and a need for additional teaching and research faculty. Opportunities for Americans to carry out teaching or reseach for periods of from three to ten months are available in all academic disciplines, with particular priority for American studies and literature, archaeology, business administration, corporate responsibility, economics, educational administration and English language curriculum development. Generous award benefits include free housing provide by host institutions and allowances for school tuition of accompanying dependent children.
