The Fulbright Scholar Program offers more than 800 opportunities for faculty and professionals to teach, research and advise institutions. These particular award opportunities are particularly well-suited for a variety of scholars in specialized disciplines. Information on each award featured may be found in the Catalog of Awards. Environmental scientists have numerous opportunities, among which are awards in Norway, India and Vietnam.

The Civil Engineering or Construction Management at Reykjavik University in Iceland offers opportunities to teach, help with curriculum development, and work in a new doctoral program.

Ireland offers a lecturing/research award in Culinary Arts at Dublin's Institute of Technology to add an American dimension to the development of Irish gastronomic culture.

Journalists interested in conducting research abroad and developing a publishable project can apply for Japan’s Journalism award.
Those who combine mechanical, electronic and computer engineering skills may seek El Salvador’s mechatronics award.

The food technology award at Honduras’ National Agricultural University may be appealing for scholars and professionals in the field.

Environmental scientists can seek the Environmental Leadership award in India. Awards for environmental sciences are also available as part of All Disciplines offerings in Vietnam.

Nursing faculty and professionals may learn about opportunities in Jordan, Oman and Russia.

Philosophyscholarscan develop curriculum and teach graduate or undergraduate at Lebanon’s American University of Beirut.
Although the Fulbright Scholar Program generally seeks out scholars and professionals with post-doctoral degrees, there are opportunities available for those with master’s degrees and substantial career or teaching experience in an array of disciplines. In many cases, the Ph.D. is preferred award, but the disciplines covered by these awards are ones in which the master’s is often the terminal degree.
