Pre-Departure Orientations
2012 Fulbright U.S. Student and Scholar
 

The U.S. Department of State, Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, conducts Pre-Departure Orientations (PDOs) in Washington, DC for U.S. Fulbright scholars and students to a number of countries and programs.  2012 orientation dates follow. Attendance is required by all who are selected for grants to these countries and programs. Travel, lodging and meal costs arranged centrally will be covered by the U.S. Department of State. More information on centralized booking of travel will follow to those who are selected.

Dates for Scholars:
Tuesday, June 26, 4:00 p.m. start, preceded by registration, through 12:15 p.m. on Thursday, June 28, 2012

Wednesday, June 27 4:00 p.m. start, preceded by registration, through 3:30 p.m. Friday, June 29, 2012

(Required for scholars selected with teaching grants to China, optional for research grantees)

A virtual Pre-Departure Orientation for U.S. Fulbright Scholars and Students selected to receive grants will be made available later this spring via a U.S. Department of State website.  Selected scholars will be notified via email when the Website is available.
