Our Man in Tashkent

Eric Freedman, assistant professor of journalism at Michigan State University - East Lansing, is on a Fulbright to the University of World Languages in Tashkent, Uzbekistan where he is lecturing on how to cover public affairs, legal affairs and natural resources/environmental issues.

A journalist for many years, Freedman won the Pulitzer Prize in Journalism for Beat Reporting in 1994.

He has sent us this series of fascinating reports on his work and on Uzbekistan.
