Dr. Mukhammadzakhrab Ismanov is a professor in the Department of Agricultural Engineering at Tashkent State Technical University in Uzbekistan. Through the Occasional Lecturer Fund, Dr. Ismanov successfully introduced his strategy for protecting crop plants from both toxic levels of salts in the soils and the loss of soil moisture at the United States Agricultural Infzormation Network (USAIN) 2003 Conference, titled "Agricultural Information for the New Millennium: New Crops, Biotechnology and Saving the Past." Dr. Ismanov is constantly updating the results of his research on cotton production and the movement, organization, and societal status of U.S. cotton farmers.
