Fulbright Program Innovations

In order to meet the changing needs of academia and develop new options to better accommodate the interests and commitments of today’s scholars, Fulbright has introduced several innovations to the Core Fulbright U.S. Program, including: Fulbright Flex Awards, Fulbright Postdoctoral/Early Career Awards, Salary Stipend Supplements, and Teaching English as a Foreign Language Awards.


Fulbright Flex Awards

In order to engage U.S. scholars currently unable to spend extended periods of time abroad, the Fulbright Program welcomes applications from scholars who propose multiple stays of one to three months in the host country over a period of two to three years.  Read More >>


Fulbright Postdoctoral/Early Career Awards

The Fulbright program is eager to engage postdoctoral and early career academics, offering opportunities in a range of countries and fields. Salary Supplement

Scholars receiving teaching or teaching/research grants may be eligible to receive a salary supplement to bring the amount to the same level as salary, up to a maximum. Read More >>
