Dependent educational allowance: The Fulbright Program is no longer able, as it was in past years, to pay full tuition reimbursement for K-12 dependents enrolled in elementary or secondary schools in the host country.

For some countries, however, reimbursement or a tuition supplement may be available. Availability will depend upon the amount of funding for the country program. Applicants should check with CIES for the countries to which they are applying and read the "Tuition Assistance" section in the benefits summary.

Supplemental research allowance: A modest, one-time research allowance may be provided to support scholarly activity of research grantees.
