Awards and Benefits
Summary:  Up to four lecturing or lecturing/research or research awards.
Program Overview:  Applications will be considered in the areas of social sciences, humanities, and science and technology with preference given to the specific fields listed below. At least 3 years of teaching experience is required. Junior as well as senior scholars are encouraged to apply. Collaborative research with Venezuelan colleagues is encouraged. Academic year is from September/October to June/July, depending on the institution.

Benefits
Stipend: $2,640-$2,860 monthly base stipend, according to the standard base stipend formula.
Maintenance: Standard maintenance. For 2007-2008 the following was provided: $1,900-$2,500, based on the number of accompanying dependents.
Travel/Relocation: Standard travel/relocation. For 2007-2008 the following was provided: $2,300-$4,700, based on the number of accompanying dependents.
Tuition Assistance: n.a.
Other Benefits:  $1000 for books and educational materials. In-country travel opportunities may be available for presentations, seminars and workshops.
