Awards and Benefits
Summary:  Up to 12 lecturing or lecturing/research awards total, including joint award with Uruguay. See also Argentina-UruguayJoint Award in Environmental Sciences in Regional and Special Programs.
Program Overview:  Junior as well as tenured university faculty members are encouraged to apply; experienced professionals with teaching or training experience are also eligible. Academic year is from mid-March through June and August through November; grants may be scheduled during the U.S. summer months. The teaching component is emphasized for all awards. Applications must include sample syllabi, language proficiency report and a letter of invitation from a local host institution. Benefits
Stipend: Approximately $2,600 per month for associate or full professors or professional equivalent; $2,000 per month for assistant professors or below or professional equivalent.
Maintenance: Housing and subsistence allowance ranging from $1,200 to $1,550 per month, based on the number of accompanying dependents.
Travel/Relocation: International travel for the grantee or for the grantee and one dependent up to a total of $2,800. To qualify for travel support, dependent must accompany grantee for at least 80% of the grant period. Relocation allowance of $700.
Tuition Assistance: n.a.
Other Benefits:  Allowance of $500 for books to be donated to host institution upon grantee's departure.
