Awards and Benefits
Summary:  Up to three lecturing or lecturing/research awards for periods of 3-9 months. See also research opportunities under the South and Central Asia Regional Research Program.
Program Overview:  Academic year begins at various times, depending on the institution. Three to 5 years of teaching experience at the associate professor rank or above are desirable. Non-academic professionals are eligible to apply, as are retired and semi-retired faculty members. English is the language of instruction for all awards. Contact CIES to obtain additional details on each award position and names and addresses of institutional representatives. Prior contact with a host institution is not required of applicants. Benefits
Stipend: $2,400 per month, payable in U.S. dollars or local currency.
Maintenance: A monthly maintenance allowance of $1,100-$1,700, based on the number of accompanying dependents who accompany the grantee for at least 80% of the grant period.
Travel/Relocation: Standard travel/relocation. Reimbursement of excess-baggage expenses of up to $600 on the submission of receipts. Relocation allowance of $800 for grants of 4 months or longer.
Tuition Assistance: n.a.
Other Benefits:  Reimbursable allowance of up to $500 for language training and other incidentals on the submission of receipts.
