Awards and Benefits
Summary:  Up to two lecturing, research or lecturing/research awards. See also research opportunities under the South and Central Asia Regional Research Program.
Program Overview:  Academic year starts in January. Terms are July through December 2009, January through June 2010 and July through December 2010. Full academic year awards are preferred, but one-semester awards will be considered. Obtain names and addresses of host institution representatives from CIES.

Benefits
Stipend: $1,870-$2,860 monthly base stipend, according to the standard base stipend formula.
Maintenance: Standard maintenance. For 2007-08 the following was provided: $1,000-$1,700 per month, based on the number of accompanying dependents.
Travel/Relocation: Standard travel/relocation. For 2007-08 the following was provided: Up to $10,000, based on the number of accompanying dependents.
Tuition Assistance: Up to $5,000 per child or $10,000 per family for accompanying dependent children in grades K-12 is reimbursed for a full academic year. Amount is adjusted for shorter grant periods. Reimbursement is based on actual cost of tuition and fees only.
Other Benefits:  Research allowance of $2,000 for full-time researchers.
