Program Overview:  Qatar is undergoing major political and educational reforms at an extraordinary pace and is open to assistance from foreign specialists to achieve their goal. It is an exciting time to work in Qatar to witness and participate in the constant change and growth in the country. Academic terms are September to January, and February to June. Full-year awards are always preferred, but one-semester awards will be considered. Benefits
Stipend: $1,870-$2,860 monthly base stipend, according to the standard base stipend formula.
Maintenance: Standard maintenance. For 2007-08 the following was provided: $1,400-$1,800 monthly subsistence allowance, based on the number of accompanying dependents. Free housing is provided by the host institution, or an additional housing allowance of $1,300-$2,700 per month is added to the grant as per 2007-08 costs.
Travel/Relocation: Standard travel/relocation. For 2007-08 the following was provided: $4,000-$5,045, based on the number of accompanying dependents.
Tuition Assistance: Up to $5,000 per child or $10,000 per family for accompanying dependent children in grades K-12 is reimbursed for a full academic year. Amount is adjusted for shorter grant periods. Reimbursement is based on actual cost of tuition and fees only.
Other Benefits:  One-time allowance of $2,000 for research grants is provided.
