Program Overview:
Academic year runs from September through June and consists of two semesters. The first semester is September 1 to December 29; the second semester is February 1 to June 30. Montenegro has undergone a dramatic political and economic transformation that culminated with independence in 2006. Grantees have the opportunity to contribute their expertise to this transition. Stipend: $2,640-$2,860 monthly base stipend, according to the standard base stipend formula.
|
|
Maintenance: Standard maintenance. For 2007-08 the following was provided: $1,450-$1,750 per month, based on the number of accompanying dependents. The average monthly rent for a one bedroom apartment in Montenegro is $950; electricity is $300; water, garbage, telephone subscription, $30; food, $600. Total living costs for one person are estimated at $1,880; for two persons, $2,200.

Travel/Relocation: Standard travel/relocation. For 2007-08 the following was provided: $4,520-$8,520, based on the number of accompanying dependents.
