Summary:  Five awards from among the openings listed below.
Program Overview:  Each award is for 3-5 months in the fall or spring semester. The fall semester is from September 1 to mid-December. The spring semester is from January 5 to May 15. There has been a tremendous growth in academia in Iceland in recent years. The program aims to encourage and develop the newer, smaller universities and departments. Benefits
Stipend: n.a.
Maintenance: Approximately $3,000 per month for single grantees. $3,300 per month for grantees with one dependent. (The 12/07 exchange rate was US$1=63.02 Icelandic krona.)
Travel/Relocation: Travel allowance is $2,000 for the grantee only. Baggage allowance up to $400.
Tuition Assistance: n.a.
