Awards and Benefits
Summary:  Up to six lecturing and/or research awards at Croatian universities in Zagreb, Rijeka, Zadar, Split, Dubrovnik and Osijek (or their branches).
Program Overview:  The academic year is October through June, with semesters running from October through January and March through June. Research awards are for 3-9 months, and lecturing and lecturing/research awards for one or two semesters during the academic year. English is sufficient for lecturing; research awards require language fluency commensurate with requirements of the proposed project. Benefits
Stipend: $1,870-$2,860 monthly base stipend, according to the standard base stipend formula.
Maintenance: Standard maintenance. For 2007-2008 the following was provided: $300-$500 monthly subsistence allowance, based on the number of accompanying dependents and city of placement; housing allowance provided by the host country.
Travel/Relocation: Standard travel/relocation. For 2007-2008 the following was provided: $3,500-$8,500, based on the number of accompanying dependents.
Tuition Assistance: Tuition Assistance.
Other Benefits:  Research allowance of $750 for research grants of up to 4 months or $1,500 for research grants of 5 months or more. Book allowance of $1,500 for one- or two-semester grants for lecturing or combined lecturing/research.
