Awards and Benefits
Summary:  Up to three lecturing or lecturing/research awards.
Program Overview:  Lecturers will teach undergraduate courses and may also be asked to assist the host institution with curriculum and program development or supervise graduate students or do both. Proposals to lecture in cultural anthropology, architecture and urban planning and creative writing are discouraged, as Mongolian universities do not have developed programs in these fields. Applicants should hold the appropriate terminal degree and have at least 2 years of university teaching experience or the professional equivalent. Those holding associate or full professor rank are preferred, but assistant professors will also be considered. Lectures are in English, but ability to speak Mongolian or Russian is advantageous. The academic calendar in Mongolia is September 1 to June 15. The fall semester lasts from September 1 to December 31 and the spring semester runs from February 20 to June 15. Schooling for dependent children is available for K-12, but opportunities are limited for students in grades 9-12.

Benefits
Stipend: $2,640-$2,860 monthly base stipend, according to the standard base stipend formula.
Maintenance: Standard maintenance. For 2007-2008 the following was provided: $1,850-$2,050 per month, based on the number of accompanying dependents.
Travel/Relocation: Standard travel/relocation. For 2007-2008 the following was provided: $3,550-$8,150, based on the number of accompanying dependents.
Tuition Assistance: Tuition Assistance.
Other Benefits:  A book allowance of $1,000.
