Summary:
Up to nine lecturing/research awards and two research awards.

|
Program Overview:
Hong Kong is a major gateway to China and has especially close connections with the Pearl River Delta region. In addition to a large and lively expatriate community, the universities are world-class, well connected to the international academic community and provide unique opportunities for exchanges with and research on China. Applicants are expected to hold a Ph.D. or other terminal degree and, unless otherwise indicated, the rank of associate or full professor. A letter of invitation is not needed, unless otherwise indicated, since the U.S. Consulate will arrange the affiliation with the host university. All lecturing/research awards may be 5 or 10 months unless otherwise indicated, but the preference is for 10-months grants. Grantees are expected to spend the full period of the grant on campus. The academic year begins in early September. The second semester begins in January. International and English-language grade and high schools are available for dependents' education.
