Summary:

Program Overview:
Candidates with a Ph.D. and at least 5 years of postdoctoral university or college teaching are preferred. The academic semesters normally run from August or September through December and from January through June. A priority is to contribute to the growth of the newer and less established universities. The Lincoln International School of Uganda (K-12) in Kampala offers educational programs for accompanying dependent school-age children.

Stipend: $2,640-$2,860 monthly base stipend, according to the standard base stipend formula.
|
|
Maintenance: Standard maintenance. For 2007-2008 the following was provided: $1,400-$1,700 per month, based on the number of dependents, plus housing, a supplemental housing allowance of $200 per month for utilities, refurbishing and repair of university housing, and a one-time settling-in allowance of $600.
|
|
Travel/Relocation: Standard travel/relocation. For 2007-2008 the following was provided: $6,000 for the grantee; additional dependent travel allowance of $3,500 for one accompanying dependent, $7,000 for two or more dependents.
