Grant Activity: Teach TEFL methodology courses and seminars to faculty members. Assist with staff and teacher training. Assist in the development of programs at San Carlos University's newly reorganized School of Language Science as they work towards creating an English certification program. The grantee will work with the host institution to address areas of need, which may include but not be limited to, curriculum development and evaluation, resource material development, testing and evaluation, program design and implementation.

Language: Working knowledge of Spanish is desired.
|

Additional Qualifications: Master's or Ph.D. in TEFL/TESOL or applied linguistics and a minimum of 3 years of experience in teacher training.

Location: San Carlos University
|

Length of Grant: 4 months or 9 months
|
|
Starting Date: June 2009 or January 2010
|
|
Comments: Preference will be given to senior level TEFL specialists who have experience in faculty and program development at the B.A. and M.A. levels and candidates with previous work experience in the developing world. All applicants must have teacher training and curriculum development experience and the ability to work in a consulting capacity. Full academic-year grants are preferred.
