Sustainable Rural Development

Grant Activity: Teach introductory and advanced courses at the undergraduate level. Conduct research as desired. Assist in curriculum and program development. Advise on teaching methodologies. Present lectures in the different rural campuses of the Catholic University of Bolivia.
Language: Fluent Spanish is required; applicants must submit a language proficiency report
Location: Rural campuses, Catholic University of Bolivia
Length of Grant: 5 months to 9 months
Starting Date: July 2009 or January 2010
Comments: The Catholic University of Bolivia has a network of rural campuses known as UACs--Unidades Academicas Campesinas--of which there are four in the Andean region: Batallas, Tiahuanacu, Pucarani and Escoma, and one in the Yungas/tropical Andes: Carmen Pampa. They offer programs at the undergraduate level to approximately 3,500 students. Applicants are encouraged to contact the institution for further information.
