Grant Activity: Teach courses at the undergraduate or graduate level in any area of specialization. Assist with graduate student tutoring and preparation of teaching materials, as requested. Scholars may also be asked to present guest lectures at other Turkish institutions.
Specialization(s): Political science, public administration, law, sociology, anthropology, communications and journalism, sociology, history, architecture, art, theater, other disciplines
Language: English is sufficient for lecturing. Interpreters will be provided in most institutions.
Additional Qualifications: Ph.D. and at least 2 years of teaching experience.
Location: Affiliation to be determined.
Length of Grant: 4.5 months or 9 months
Starting Date: October 2009 or January 2010 for one-semester grants; September 2009 for academic-year grants
Comments: Prospective host institutions include Middle East Technical University (METU), Ankara; Hacettepe University, Ankara; Ankara University; Bilkent University, Ankara; Dokuz Eylul University, Izmir; Ege University, Izmir; Istanbul University, Istanbul and Anadolu University, Eskisehir and other universities in the country.
