Grant Activity: Conduct research in any area of the social or behavioral sciences, the humanities, arts, media, creative industry, business or education that is relevant to understanding current conditions in Taiwan and that has to be carried out in Taiwan. Projects may also be in classical or contemporary Chinese studies.

Specialization(s): Classical/contemporary Taiwan studies, classical/contemporary Chinese studies

Language: Except for applicants in traditional Chinese studies, who must be able to speak and read Mandarin, knowledge of Mandarin is not mandatory.

Additional Qualifications: Applicants must be at least three years beyond completion of the Ph.D. at the time of application.
|
|
Location: Applicants must arrange affiliation. Assistance is provided by the Taiwan Fulbright Foundation, if requested.
|
|
Length of Grant: 2 months to 10 months
|
|
Starting Date: After July 1, 2009, but before July 31, 2010; grants must end by September 30, 2010.
|
|
Comments: Previous research grantees have been affiliated with such organizations as Academia Sinica, the National Central Library, the National Palace Museum and various universities.
