Grant Activity: Teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses in any area of specialization. Assist with graduate student tutoring and preparation of teaching materials, as requested. Scholar may also be asked to give guest lectures at other Turkish institutions.
Specialization(s): Agriculture, biological sciences, medicine, nursing, industrial engineering, environmental sciences, computer science, geophysics, metallurgy, other disciplines
Language: English is sufficient for lecturing. An interpreter will be provided, as necessary. Basic Turkish is extremely useful.
Additional Qualifications: Ph.D. and 2 years of teaching experience.
Location: Affiliation to be determined.
Length of Grant: 4.5 months or 9 months
Starting Date: October 2009 or January 2010 for one-semester grants; September 2009 for academic-year grants
Comments: Prospective host institutions include Middle East Technical University (METU), Ankara; Cukurova University, Adana; Istanbul Technical University, Istanbul; Bosphorus University, Bosphorus; Ege University, Izmir; Dokuz Eylul University, Izmir and Karadeniz University, Trabzon.
