Roving Scholar in American Studies (Upper Secondary Level)

Deadline:  August 1, 2008
Grant Activity: Serve as a roving American studies specialist and teach one-day in-service courses for practicing English teachers at the upper secondary level. Visit and work with students in cooperation with their teachers in the classroom.
Language: English is sufficient.
Additional Qualifications: Ph.D. preferred; M.A. with teaching experience is acceptable. Applicants should have broad competence in social, political, historical and educational issues in American studies.
Location: Norwegian Directorate for Education and Training
Length of Grant: 9 months
Starting Date: Mid-August 2009
Comments: The position requires extensive travel throughout the country and significant work with students and teachers in the classroom.
