Grant Activity: Teach two courses, one at the graduate level. Teaching may include coordination of a lab course or supervision of a seminar or tutorial course of 6-9 hours weekly. Participate in curriculum development and research.
Specialization(s): Condensed matter, plasma or applied physics are preferred, though scholars with any research interests that match or complement those of current faculty will be welcomed.
Additional Qualifications: Ph.D. and rank of professor or associate professor and at least 5 years university teaching experience.
Location: Department of Physics, American University of Beirut
Length of Grant: 5 months to 9 months
Starting Date: September 2009 for 5- or 10-month award or February 2010 for 5-month award
