Language: Working knowledge of French commensurate with the requirements of the project. French is the language of communication at Laval University and in the Quebec region generally.

Additional Qualifications: Junior scholars with promising research records as well as established senior scholars are encouraged to apply.

Comments: The Quebec Institute for Advanced International Studies (Institut Quebecois des Hautes Etudes Internationales) is a multidisciplinary graduate school and research center devoted to the study of international affairs. It brings together experts from the fields of political science, economics, law, agro-economy, management, history and geography. The Institute offers a renowned M.A. program in international studies and also publishes the quarterly "Etudes internationales" as well as "Les conflits dans le monde," an annual report on international conflicts. Located in the heart of Quebec's historic capital city, Laval is one of Canada's leading universities.
