Law and Economics of Competition

Grant Activity: Conduct two graduate courses for the L.L.M. program in law and economics of competition. Average class size is 30 students. Teach 4 hours per course, per week. Students purchase their own books for the classes. Other duties include graduate student advising and occasional participation in conferences.
Specialization(s): Competition law, trade marks and unfair competition, merger control, economics of competition, economics of regulation, competition policy, regulated markets, antitrust law
Language: English is sufficient.
Additional Qualifications: At least 6 years of teaching experience. Professionals will not be considered.
Location: School of Law, Portuguese Catholic University
Length of Grant: 3 months
Starting Date: September 14, 2009, January 7, 2010 or April 15, 2010
Comments: The host will provide personal computers, access to the Internet, office space and secretarial assistance. The host institution will not provide housing; however, assistance will be given by Ms. Rita Bacelar, rbacelar@fd.lisboa.ucp.pt, tel. +351.217274170.
