Grant Activity: Teach undergraduate courses in area of expertise 6 hours per week. Average class size is about 35. Teaching assistants are available if classes are large. Advise students. Consult on curriculum development and engage in research activities. Deliver two public lectures, one potentially to the Macao civil service. Meet and exchange views with civil servants in the relevant field, if this is requested by the Macao civil service.

Comments: Applicants at all academic ranks--assistant, associate or full professor--are welcome to apply. Applicants are expected to be on campus the entire 5 months of the grant. The academic year begins in early September; the second semester begins in February. The U.S. Consulate will arrange affiliation with the University of Macao. English-language schools (1-12) are available for dependents' education. Grant includes a fully furnished two-bedroom apartment.
