Grant Activity: Conduct research, develop collaborations and offer occasional guest lectures at the undergraduate or graduate level.

Specialization(s): Scholars in the social sciences or humanities, including cultural studies, with an interest in U.S.- Canada relations, American studies of Canada or Canadian studies are encouraged to apply. Of particular interest are questions surrounding migration, diversity, human rights, cultural transfer, ethnic relations, indigenous populations, citizenship and culture in the North American context and the bicontinental nature of Montreal and Quebec.

Language: Working knowledge of French commensurate with the requirements of the project. French is the main language of socialization in the Montreal region. English is, however, spoken by everyone at CERIUM.

Additional Qualifications: Junior scholars with promising research records as well as established senior scholars are encouraged to apply.

Comments: Founded in 1878, the University of Montreal is one of Canada's leading centers for research and teaching with a strong and proven commitment to internationalization. The Fulbright-University of Montreal Research Chairs are a central component of the recently established Network for American Studies at the University, which fosters interdisciplinary collaboration between emerging and prominent scholars and is housed in the Center for International Studies and Research (CERIUM).
