Governance, Peace and Security: University of Waterloo/CIGI Research Chair in Global Governance

Grant Activity: Conduct research, develop collaborations and offer occasional guest lectures at the graduate or undergraduate level.
Specialization(s): Contemporary public policy issues in any area of study relating to Canada, the U.S. or the bilateral relationship, globalization, global governance, multilateral relations
Additional Qualifications: Junior scholars with a strong research record as well as established senior scholars are encouraged to apply.
Location: Faculty of Arts, University of Waterloo and Centre for International Governance Innovation (CIGI)
Length of Grant: 4 months or 9 months
Starting Date: September 2009 for academic-year grants; September 2009 or January 2010 for one-semester grants
Comments: Established in 1957, the University of Waterloo is one of Canada's leading research universities, highly respected for its innovative academic programs, focus on technology and international connections. The Fulbright-CIGI/University of Waterloo Chairs are an integral part of the university's internationalization strategy and its commitment to promoting interdisciplinary research. The Centre for International Governance Innovation (CIGI) is an independent center for scholarly research established in 2002 to address and research issues concerning the stability and security of the international multilateral system.
