Grant Activity: Conduct research in cultural studies at the Internationales Forschungszentrum fuer Kulturwissenschaften, IFK (International Research Center for Cultural Studies), in Vienna relevant to the IFK's overall research program, especially to its present research foci. Language: Proficiency in German is required.

Additional Qualifications: Several years of teaching and/or research experience in relevant fields is preferred.

Comments: Applicants must solicit a letter of invitation from the IFK by submitting a curriculum vitae and research proposal. The contact person at the IFK is Dr. Lutz Musner, associate director and academic advisor: musner@ifk.ac.at. The IFK provides office space with library, computer, Internet and e-mail facilities. This award includes a stipend for four months (2,325 euro per month) and accommodation in a studio apartment. The Commission provides a travel grant, health and accident insurance. Applicants may request a specific grant period, however, award dates are contingent upon IFK logistics.
