French Studies (Arts and Humanities)

Deadline:  August 1, 2008
Grant Activity: Conduct research in any field of the humanities, social and political sciences, and collaborate with colleagues at French research centers and institutes of higher education.
Language: French language ability commensurate with the requirements of the project.
Location: Applicants are expected to arrange affiliation and solicit an invitation from a prospective host institution.
Length of Grant: 3 months to 6 months
Starting Date: Between September 2009 and June 2010
Comments: Applications are most welcome from recent Ph.D.s as well as from more established scholars. The Franco-American Commission also encourages applicants from the private sector.
