Environment, Health and Sustainability: University of Winnipeg Research Chair in Environmental Studies

Grant Activity: Conduct research, develop collaborations, deliver public lectures and occasional guest lectures at the undergraduate or graduate level and contribute to ongoing activities at the University of Winnipeg.
Specialization(s): Environmental studies, environmental policy, environment and society, environmental preservation and research initiatives
Additional Qualifications: Junior scholars with promising research records as well as established senior scholars are encouraged to apply.
Location: The Richardson College for the Environment, University of Winnipeg
Length of Grant: 4 months or 9 months
Starting Date: September 2009 for academic-year grants; September 2009 or January 2010 for one-semester grants
Comments: The University of Winnipeg, located in the heart of Canada, is a compact, diverse, multicultural academic community committed to access and excellence. The University of Winnipeg is a provincially and privately funded post-secondary institution with undergraduate and select graduate programs, as well as Collegiate and Continuing Education divisions. The Richardson College for the Environment is a major first step in implementing the university's academic plan to enhance science education and research. The College specializes in a number of key emerging areas of environmental research and study: Forest Ecology; Urban Ecology; The Global North; Water Resources and; Environment and Health.
