Grant Activity: Conduct collaborative postdoctoral research on issues related to polar studies in conjunction with the International Polar Year. Research agenda will include seminars or work-in-progress talks and presentations.

Location: Affiliations will be arranged in coordination with the Norwegian Fulbright Commission.

Starting Date: Between mid-August 2009 and May 2010

Comments: Pending the availability of funds, up to two awards will be offered in conjunction with Norway's participation in the International Polar Year in 2009-2010. The awards will acknowledge the strategic and scholarly work being undertaken in the arctic regions of Norway, where a community of international scientists in a range of fields is examining the impact of climate change. Research proposals should have a significant collaborative component or demonstrate clear opportunities for creating collaborative links beyond the specific award period.
