Grant Activity: Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in software engineering, computer science and structural engineering for information technology. Supervise student projects, provide research advice to faculty and participate in curriculum development and team research. Conduct research in area of specialization.
Language: English is the official language and the language needed for teaching and research; a working knowledge of French is useful.
Location: University of Mauritius
Length of Grant: 12 months
Starting Date: August 2009
Comments: Priority challenges to address are the needs to develop, in a disciplined way, information systems for business organizations and to respond to higher demand for development of distributed multimedia applications in various spheres of daily activities. As for structural engineering, Mauritius has witnessed tremendous development in infrastructural services in the past few years.
