Grant Activity: Teach undergraduate courses and participate in student advising, faculty training and curriculum development. The public education system in Qatar is undergoing unprecedented reform. There is great emphasis on primary education (see www.sec.gov.qa for more information on the educational reforms) and a new graduate diploma program in education was initiated within the College of Education (with the help of Texas A&M University) to prepare teachers under this new reform.

Language: Language of instruction is English. Knowledge of Arabic is preferred.

Additional Qualifications: Ph.D. and at least 5 years of teaching and research experience are preferred. Practicing professionals with teaching experience will be considered.

Location: Qatar University

Length of Grant: 5 months to 10 months
|
|
Starting Date: September 2009 for one-semester or full-year awards; January 2010 for one-semester awards
|
