Grant Activity: Teach courses in visual or performing arts or creative writing and carry out other activities to be arranged. Final lecturing and other activities are to be determined in consultation with host institution after selection for an award. Applicant should describe proposed courses.
Specialization(s): Visual arts (painting, sculpture, photography), performing arts (dance, theater, music, opera, cinema, including playwriting and scriptwriting), creative writing
Language: Hebrew is helpful but not required.
Location: Affiliation to be determined, but applicant may indicate preference.
Length of Grant: 4 months to 10 months
Starting Date: September/October 2009 or February 2010
Comments: Professional and/or academic excellence will be the major criterion for selection for these awards. Candidates are encouraged to submit samples of their work so that these may be made available to Israeli institutions. A host institution is obliged to make a financial contribution toward the funding of its guest's USIEF grant. This financial aspect should be included in preliminary discussions with potential hosts prior to the issuance of a letter of invitation.
