Grant Activity: Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in any arts, education, humanities or social sciences discipline taught at a participating host institution. Collaborate with faculty on curriculum and program development. Conduct research in area of specialization.
Specialization(s): Applications are especially welcome in American foreign policy, international relations and political science; American studies, including history and literature, or business administration at the University of Ghana, Legon. The University of Cape Coast, primarily a teacher training institution, especially welcomes applications in business administration; distance education or American studies, including history or literature. The Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology particularly welcomes applications in computer science, information technology or technology in education. The University of Education, Winneba, exclusively a teacher training institution, is particularly interested in applicants with online teaching and distance education experience for lecturing in computer science, information technology or technology in education. Applications in other arts, education, humanities and social sciences fields for the listed host institutions are welcome as well.

Length of Grant: 5 months to 10 months
Starting Date: August 2009 or January 2010
Comments: Candidates should correspond with potential host institutions to determine whether their disciplines and specializations are of interest. A letter of invitation is recommended but does not guarantee receipt of an award or placement at the university of first choice.
