Grant Activity: Teach undergraduate and graduate students (3-5 hours per week). Hold seminars on the poultry industry in the U.S. Transfer research and teaching experience to faculty members and graduates through consultations and academic gatherings. Contribute to curriculum development and introduce educational materials from the U.S., e.g. CDs, videos or DVDs.
Specialization(s): Animal production or fisheries (nutrition, physiology, management)
Additional Qualifications: Ph.D. and 10 years of higher education experience preferred.
Location: Assiut University
Length of Grant: 4.5 months

Comments: Prior contact with the host institution is required. Accommodation will be offered by the university in a three-bedroom furnished apartment at the university faculty housing. The grantee can conduct research in collaboration with faculty members of the department and participate in group discussions with undergraduate and graduate students. Books and journals in both English and Arabic are available at the library. Computer labs with internet connections are also available free of charge. The university's numerous recreational facilities include swimming pool, squash courts, gymnasium, a sports complex and two sporting clubs, one overlooking the Nile river and the other on-campus with green areas, restaurants and recreational facilities.
