Grant Activity: Teach one to two courses per semester, undergraduate and graduate based on needs of department; 2-3 class hours weekly per course. Undertake limited student advising and interact with students outside classroom. Participate in faculty and departmental development through sharing research and other academic experience. Participate in curriculum development. Some research opportunities are available.
Specialization(s): History, literature, political science, sociology
Language: All lecturing is in English. Knowledge of Arabic or French is helpful for research purposes.
Additional Qualifications: Associate or full professor preferred.
Location: Faculty of Arts and Sciences, Lebanese American University or Center for American Studies and Research, American University of Beirut
Length of Grant: 5 months to 10 months
Starting Date: September 2009 for 5- or 10-month grants or February 20010 for 5-month grants
