American Studies or American Literature

Grant Activity: Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in American literature, culture, history, philosophy, politics or society on all levels. Participate in curriculum and program development. Offer consultations for students and staff. Oversee student theses and dissertations and advise on library acquisitions.
Specialization(s): 19th- and 20th-century literature, contemporary, postmodern, postcolonial literature, literary theory, cultural, gender, ethnic, minority and regional studies, history, politics, folklore, sociology, multiculturalism, art; other subjects acceptable
Location: Affiliation is to be determined by the Fulbright Commission in Hungary, but applicant may express a preference. Invitation letters are not required but applicants are encouraged to contact potential host institutions.
Length of Grant: 4 months to 9 months
Starting Date: September 2009 or February 2010 for one-semester grants; September 2009 for academic-year grants
