American Literature and American Studies (Junior Lecturing)

Grant Activity: Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in American studies (literature, language, culture, history, art history or film). Teaching load to be determined in discussion with host institution, approximately 6 hours per week. Opportunities to teach in grantee's area of specialization as well as survey courses.

Language: Lecturing is in English, but some German is helpful.
Location: Affiliation to be determined, but applicant may indicate preference.
Length of Grant: 5 months to 10 months
Starting Date: September 2009
Comments: Intended for scholars at the assistant professor level who have received a Ph.D. within the last 5 years or have comparable professional qualifications. Ph.D. candidates should be within 6 months of receipt of their degree by the application deadline and include with their application a letter from their thesis advisor confirming their status.
