Grant Activity: Conduct research, teach undergraduate or graduate courses, or carry out a combination of teaching and research activities. Additional activities may include conducting seminars for advanced students or faculty, consulting on curriculum, supervising theses and advising students on research.
Specialization(s): Priority fields include, but are not limited to, American studies, archaeology, business administration, economics, educational administration and English language curriculum development.
Language: English is the language of instruction in undergraduate courses in sciences and technology and in most subjects at the graduate level. Arabic is generally required for research, according to the demands of the project.
Location: Affiliation to be determined, but applicant may indicate preference.
Length of Grant: 3 months to 9 months
Starting Date: September 2009 or January 2010
Comments: Prospective applicants should contact CIES before submitting an application. All requests for academic affiliation must be presented formally by diplomatic note from the U.S. Embassy Riyadh to the Ministry of Higher Education through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The embassy will confirm institutional affiliation after selection for an award.
