Grant Activity: Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in area of specialization and conduct independent or collaborative research as desired. Thesis advising or assistance with curriculum development may also be requested, depending upon the grantee's area of expertise.
Specialization(s): While applications in all disciplines will be considered, projects in the following fields are preferred: anthropology, archaeology, business administration, economics, education, human rights, indigenous and ethnic issues, international law, international trade, journalism, linguistics, museum planning, political science, poverty reduction, public health and social work.
Language: Fluent Spanish is required; applicants must submit a language proficiency report.
Additional Qualifications: Ph.D. is preferred, although master's degree with professional and teaching experience will be considered. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in the developing world.
Location: Applicants must arrange affiliation and include letter of invitation.
Length of Grant: 4 months to 9 months
Starting Date: June 2009 for academic-year grants; June 2009 or January 2010 for one-semester grants
