Grant Activity: For lecturing awards, a Fulbright Scholar will teach undergraduate courses and possibly graduate courses. For lecturing/research awards, a Fulbright Scholar will spend 60 percent of grant period teaching undergraduate courses and 40 percent conducting research either independently or with relevant research institutes. There will be opportunities for several guest lectures at other universities, including the regional ones.
Specialization(s): Priority areas are technical fields such as information technology, engineering, agricultural studies, or industry.
Language: Russian language skills are helpful but not required. Interpreters are available as needed.
Location: Affiliation to be determined.
Length of Grant: 5 months to 10 months
Starting Date: September 1, 2009 or February 9, 2010
Comments: The Public Affairs Section of the U.S. Embassy, in cooperation with Uzbekistan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Higher Education, will arrange host institution affiliation according to specialization.
