Grant Activity: Teach courses, conduct research or carry out a combination of lecturing and research activities. Participate in program and curriculum development, student advising and occasional lecturing at other institutions. Teaching load is between one and three courses, depending on other activities.
Specialization(s): Any discipline, including, but not limited to: American studies, social sciences and humanities, international relations, conflict resolution, natural sciences, arts and design, education, law or natural resource management.
Language: Most lecturing is in English, although the ability to lecture in Arabic or French may be an asset in some departments or institutions. Researchers must have language proficiency appropriate to the proposed project.
Additional Qualifications: Applicants should have at least 3-5 years of postdoctoral teaching and research experience.
Location: Affiliation to be determined, but applicant may indicate preference.
Length of Grant: 5 months to 10 months
Starting Date: September 2009 or February 2010
Comments: Duration of awards is one or two semesters with preference for a full academic year. Institutions will assist in locating housing for scholars.
