Grant Activity: Teach undergraduate or graduate-level courses, advise advanced students and faculty on research and assist in curriculum and program design. Conduct research in conjunction with lecturing.
Specialization(s): Preferred fields include, but are not limited to, American studies, including American history, literature, and political processes; business administration; commerce; economics; education; English as a foreign language; sociology or political science.
Language: Arabic is necessary for research projects and for lecturing in social sciences, humanities and education at Kuwait University and the Public Authority for Applied Education and Training. See also Comments.
Additional Qualifications: Ph.D. or equivalent and at least 5 years teaching experience.

Comments: Applicants are strongly encouraged to have arranged a program of activities with a colleague or department at Kuwait University, www.kuniv.edu.kw, American University of Kuwait, www.auk.edu.kw, Gulf University for Science and Technology, www.gust.edu.kw, or the Public Authority for Applied Education and Training, www.paaet.edu.kw and to include a letter of invitation from the institution with the application. English is the language of instruction at American University of Kuwait and Gulf University of Science and Technology. Lecturers at Kuwait University need to have a high proficiency in Arabic, with the exception of instructors of American literature, business, commerce and English language courses.
