Grant Activity: Teach courses and collaborate in research with a Tel Aviv University partner. Applicants should describe proposed courses and submit a detailed plan of research.
Specialization(s): Open to applicants in any discipline, but priority fields are East Asian studies, especially Japanese or Chinese history and politics, modern Japanese studies, religion and philosophy or Indian religion or philosophy, communications, conflict resolution, studies in government, television and cinema.
Additional Qualifications: Assistant professor or higher academic rank is required.
Location: Tel Aviv University
Length of Grant: 4 months to 10 months
Starting Date: September/October 2009 or February 2010
Comments: A host institution is obliged to make a financial contribution toward the funding of its guest's USIEF grant. This financial aspect should be included in preliminary discussions with potential hosts prior to the issuance of a letter of invitation.
